Erie Shores HealthCare (ESHC) is inviting applications for Full-time & Part-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Department of Emergency Medicine team.

Erie Shores HealthCare's 24/7 Emergency Department sees over 30,000 visits annually, offering a broad range of cases. It's supported by onsite specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, OB-GYN, Psychiatry, and Anesthesia, with subspecialty access through Windsor Regional Hospital.

Qualifications: Candidates must be CCFP-EM, ABEM, FRCPC, or CCFP certified with EM experience, and be eligible for CPSO licensure. U.S. Board Certified physicians benefit from a streamlined College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario licensure pathway introduced in 2023.

About ESHC: Erie Shores HealthCare (ESHC) is a 72-bed acute care hospital in scenic Leamington, Ontario, serving 110,000 residents. It offers ICU and surgical services and is affiliated with the Schulich School of Medicine, providing teaching opportunities.

Full-time Compensation and Benefits:
Full-time (12-14 shifts per month). We offer a competitive signing bonus of up to $125,000 for full-time positions, supported by a flexible Return of Service Agreement. The bonus is disbursed in semi-annual installments of $12,500 for up to 5 years with no fixed time commitment - you receive payments as you continue in the role.

Emergency Medicine AFA Hourly rates range from $160 per hour to $224 per hour. Hourly rates are topped up with 37% of OHIP shadow billings.
Reimbursement of moving expenses is negotiable.
$1,000 CME incentive per year that can be banked up to $3,000.
Supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.

Part-time Compensation and Benefits:
Part-time (6-8 shifts per month). They offer a competitive signing bonus of up to $62,500 for those committing to 8 shifts per month, supported by a flexible Return of Service Agreement. The bonus is paid in semi-annual installments of $6,250 for up to 5 years with no fixed time commitment - you continue to receive payments as long as you remain in the role.
Access to Homewood Health.

Applicants must be eligible for an academic appointment within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. A strong clinical background in general obstetrics/gynecology and/or demonstrable experience and excellence in teaching, research, quality initiatives, or clinical care would be highly valued. Expertise in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, particularly with advanced ultrasound skills in the management of Endometriosis, would be a valuable addition to our existing clinical programs. While not required, additional training in a relevant Master program would be considered an asset to the Department (e.g. Public Health, Health Care Management, Epidemiology, or Medical Education).

The position involves clinical work, including on call duties, and teaching of all levels of trainees including medical students, residents, and fellows. All faculty members can support our Department's robust research program through collaboration and involvement in patient recruitment. The appointee should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to provision of high-quality patient and family centered care.
