The Rideau Clinic is a new, physician-led family medicine clinic located in downtown Ottawa, serving a diverse, growing urban population with strong demand for primary care. We are seeking a patient-centred Family Physician to join our practice on a full-time or part-time basis.
This role is well suited to physicians who value high-quality primary care, strong clinical support, and a well-organized practice environment. The clinic operates on a negotiable overhead structure (20-25%), depending on days and hours committed and length of contract, allowing physicians to focus on patient care rather than clinic logistics.

Overhead & Practice Support (20-25%)
The overhead includes comprehensive clinical, administrative, and operational support:
Full-time nursing support (vitals, procedures, clinical assistance, patient flow)
Full administrative support (reception, booking, phones/fax, referrals, forms, scanning)
AI-enabled fax handling via Phelix (triage, sorting, task assignment)
OHIP billing and rejection management handled by the clinic
Accuro EMR with full setup, training, and ongoing technical support
OceanMD online booking enabled for streamlined patient access
On-site pharmacy support for prescriptions and continuity of care
Relocation assistance may be available for suitable candidates moving to Otttawa, depending on circumstances and contract terms.

Location & Patient Demand
High foot-traffic downtown location in an established, high-demand area
Approximately 12,000 local residents without a family physician (2025 data)
Over 2,500 patients registered within two weeks of initial advertising
Three new residential condo developments within walking distance
uOttawa student accommodation directly opposite; university approximately 6 minutes away
High flow of private paying Quebec patients

Work Environment & Growth Opportunities
Physician-led, collaborative clinic culture
Flexible scheduling options
Opportunity to build and grow a patient panel
Potential for leadership involvement with future clinic expansion
Supportive environment suitable for early-career and experienced physicians
Teaching opportunities also available

Qualifications
MD with CCFP (or equivalent)
Independent CPSO license (or eligibility)
CMPA coverage
Eligible to bill OHIP
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centred, ethical primary care

Applications from International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are welcome. The clinic provides personalized, physician-led support with CPSO licensing, orientation to Ontario practice models, billing and clinical workflows, as well as general guidance on OINP and permanent residency pathways (with all final immigration decisions remaining with the appropriate authorities).
