Our new multidisciplinary medical clinic will open in September 2026 in Scarborough North, Ontario. We are seeking a Family Physician interested in becoming a Physician Ownership Partner in a modern, professionally managed medical clinic. This opportunity offers physicians the ability to combine clinical practice with long-term leadership and ownership within a growing healthcare organization.
Qualified physicians will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical leadership and future growth of Medpoint Medical Services Inc. Details regarding the ownership structure, shareholder arrangements, and partnership agreement will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process.
Physician Ownership Partnership Opportunity
The Physician Ownership Partner will provide clinical leadership while maintaining responsibility for the Medical Professional Corporation (MPC), clinical governance, patient care, electronic medical records (EMR), physician billing, and compliance with the standards of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Medpoint Medical Services Inc. will own and manage the medical clinic, equipment, branding, technology infrastructure, administrative operations, facility management, and non-clinical staff. Medpoint will oversee the day-to-day business operations, allowing the Physician Ownership Partner to focus on patient care and medical leadership within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Clinic Services Include
- Family Medicine (7 fully equipped examination rooms)
- Primary Care Services
- Walk-In Medical Clinic
- On-site Pharmacy (approximately 600 sq. ft.)
- Phlebotomy Laboratory and Blood Collection
- Laboratory & Diagnostic Services
- Medical Reception Services
- Nurse Manager
- Administrative Office Support
- Medical Examination Equipment Provided
- Medical Supplies and PPE provided through Medpoint's affiliated healthcare supply division
- Established technology infrastructure, including computer network and EMR implementation
- Two existing Medpoint business partners providing operational and financial management
Role Description
This is an on-site opportunity for a Physician Ownership Partner located in Scarborough, Ontario.
The successful physician will provide comprehensive primary care services, diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, and develop long-term relationships with patients and families. The Physician Ownership Partner will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals while providing clinical leadership and promoting preventative medicine and community health.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Certification in Family Medicine (CFPC) or equivalent
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Eligible for independent medical practice in Ontario
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage or equivalent medical liability protection
- Experience in Family Medicine and Primary Care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based healthcare
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Previous experience in clinic leadership, medical practice management, or an interest in physician ownership is considered an asset
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
The Physician Ownership Partner will benefit from a flexible clinical practice arrangement with the opportunity to generate competitive physician earnings based on patient volume, OHIP billings, and services provided.
In addition to clinical income, the Physician Ownership Partner will participate in the long-term strategic growth and leadership of Medpoint Medical Services Inc.
The clinic is projected to achieve annual revenues in the range of $1.6 million to $1.8 million based on anticipated physician capacity, OHIP billings, Phlebotomy Laboratory services, Non OHIP billings, walk-in and family practice volumes, pharmacy services, and operational efficiencies. Detailed financial projections will be provided to qualified candidates during the interview process.
