We are looking for a dedicated Full time/Part time Family Physician/Walk-in-Doctor (FFS) to join our team of 3 Physicians at Lawrence Health Centre at Lawrence & Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough. Our facility is 3,000+ sq. ft. with 10 fully equipped medical exam rooms. Our clinic is extremely busy, with hundreds of patients waiting to register. We are surrounded by a large family community and numerous condos. Foreign trained Doctors and New Graduates are also welcome.

Since we have multiple locations with multiple GPs working for us, physicians won't have to worry about vacation coverage. This will ensure there is continuity of care for the patients.
We provide in depth EMR and billing training so the physicians can optimize the high-yield billing codes. We also ensure our doctors max out on all the bonuses available.

Position Requirements:
Medical degree from an accredited university with additional certification in Family Medicine
Good standing with CPSO/CFPO and an active license to practice in Ontario
Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage

Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive assessments/screenings in person and virtually for patients
Collaborate with other medical practitioners, cross-referral to on-site services (e.g. dietician, cardiology dermatology, counselors and other health professionals) and referral to specialized care and assessments
Preparing detailed, high-quality assessment, treatment reports and clinical documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to patients while demonstrating empathy and interpersonal skills
Provide coverage for other physicians for absences and vacation as needed
Adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of best practice

Psychiatry opportunities are available in Victoria, Salt Spring Island, Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville, Port Alberni and Comox. These positions span the continuum of care, including Child and Adolescent, Adult, Development Disability Mental Health, Addictions and Geriatric services. Participation in the psychiatry on-call group is a requirement of Island Health Psychiatry services. Psychiatrists with Island Health work in a variety of settings including, in-patient services at tertiary facilities and hospitals, and out-patient services at Mental Health Substance Use programs and community out-patient centers.

The Island Health Psychiatry Department is strongly committed to undergraduate and postgraduate education. Clinical faculty appointments are available for all Psychiatrists through a joint application to the University of Victoria Island Medical Program and University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine. Opportunities exist to teach Medical Students, Family Practice and Psychiatry Residents.

Administrative duties of psychiatry positions include attending clinical team meetings and providing reports to the Department of Psychiatry meetings.
Sponsored site visits/interviews available as well as relocation assistance to successful candidates.

Fee-for-Service and Medical On-call Availability Program earning potential of up-to approx.
$400,000 CAD for full-time services. Remuneration varies based on hours/services provided.
Additional benefits may be available to successful candidates as per the Ministry of Health's Rural Recruitment Contingency Fund in eligible communities. *Dependent on rural location. Benefits include recruitment incentive, relocation costs reimbursement, fee premium, annual flat fee and annual rural CME.
